Scrolling through Pinterest as I do 24/7 often, I saw the idea of making characters out of paper mache letters. I began looking on Etsy and came across this amazing shop called GunnersNook. This girl does incredible work so I seriously considered buying them, until I had an urge to be crafty. They didn't turn out near as cool as I had hoped but I will admit I had a lot of fun making them.
The Paper Mache Letters you can find at any craft store, as well as Card Stock. The textured card stock I liked better so that's what I went with. I drew out everything free hand, but I suggest you trace something for a better look. It's a good thing you can't see the detail in this photo because it's definitely not perfect. I still need to add some feathers on to the 'J' to make the flamingo, but otherwise I think it is completed. For hanging the letters, I used Command Strips; just tack them on the back of the letters and stick them to the wall. I am certain it'll take the paint off when it comes time to take the letters down, although they advertise it won't, but then it will lead me to want to paint and that's something I've been a bit obsessive over anxious about doing lately. Oh, me and my projects! ;)
